IILPL has signed a Concession Agreement with Indian Railways and has been granted ‘Category 1’ License by the Indian Railways to own and operate container trains pan India for an initial period of 20 years. Under the terms of this License IILPL is permitted to carry both EXIM and Domestic container traffic.
Customers who ship cargo to or from India can also transport their goods domestically by rail, all via one integrated service from IILPL, they also enjoy a smooth and efficient end-to-end transport service, with state-of-the-art IT solutions and coordinated ship and train schedules. Customers can monitor the progress of their shipments at all times, through IILPL real-time shipment tracking service.
Through this integrated land-and-sea approach, IILPL helps to address the challenges that India's transport sector is currently facing, and therefore boost the manufacturing industry and India's economy even further.
