APL IndiaLinx will commence operations in May 2007 with a single train service from Loni on the outskirts of Delhi in the state of Uttar Pradesh to Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT) in Nava Sheva.

There are plans to provide three scheduled services per week from Loni to JNPT later in the year.

Expansion plans are underway with likely services from Panipat about 70 km north of Delhi in 2008. From this port, containers can be transported to Haryana, Delhi , Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
