About IILPL
India Infrastructure and Logistics Private Limited (IILPL) was set up in 2006 as a joint-venture between APL, the container transportation arm of the NOL Group, and HIPE (Hindustan Infrastructure Projects & Engineering Private Limited) to provide rail-based container transportation and related logistics in India. Its service is marketed under the brand: APL IndiaLinx
 
In January 2007, IILPL signed a 20-year ‘Concession Agreement’ with the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. The Agreement enables Indialinx to operate container trains across the entire Indian Railways network. It started its operations in May 2007 from ICD Loni (located in the outskirts of Delhi). Currently it operates regular train services from three ICDs(Inland Container Depots) located in the National Capital Region of Delhi, namely Loni( 20 kms south-east of Delhi) ACTL-Faridabad( about 20 kms south-east of Delhi) and Patli (about 25 kms south-west of Delhi).and the gateway ports of Nava Sheva and Mundra.
 
IndiaLinx has acquired a fleet of 405 container flat wagons, each wagon capable of carrying 2 teus. These wagons are capable of moving at a maximum speed of 100 kms per hour.It has plans to expand its transport capacity significantly in the next few years.
 
IndiaLinx’s own ICD at Samalkha, located about 80 kms north of Delhi as a part of its commitment to offer end-to-end supply chain solutions to its customers. This ICD would be an integrated multi-modal logistics complex with separate warehouses & container yards for EXIM and Domestic business . The ICD is expected to be operational by April 2010.
